yeah umm... today i was rping with a vampire and it turned into pvp, i gave the warning and it started... i had my shadow attack him while i hid and then used shadow daze so he couldnt even move, i ran in then and started attacking up close and every attack was a free sneak and i was getting over 50 on crits but he stayed at barely injured and at one point even went to uninjured. at which point he ended up killing me by taking advantage of this glitch and when a level 16 got there he even tried killing her and a level 8 and 4 even got there to and he was taking advantage of his higher levels and his unkillable glitch. when we finally staked him he was back in about 2 minutes and started doing it again and so i am asking that any and all vampires can not be played on no matter what until this glitch has been fixed... every time i saw it happen they only take advantage of the glitch to do whatever they want to whoever they want without being stopped unless a dm is there. thank you for reading this and i hope you agree

Thanks for reporting the glitch. Though, incidents like that are preferred to be kept through PMs. Perhaps just post the glitch next time, please.

This is also a well known glitch, and one of the reasons we see so few vampire PCs left. Essentially, and this is what I was told, the vampire script and lycanthrope one are a huge entangle. Vampires have werewolf script traits, and lycans have vampire traits. Vamps shouldn't even be regenning like that. It's from the werewolf script.

Hopefully it'll be fixed in due time. All we can do is wait.

this has been discussed before, and for one, vampires are not allowed to jsut go back and continue the fight, technically they are supposed to stay in their coffin gaining 1 hp point per hour till at full health again and then they can leave, but that from what i can remember from the discussion, i may have gotten a fact or two wrong, but one thing i know specifically, "they cannot just go back there and fight them again right off if they die"

well, he did... he was staked and a minute or two he came back and started shooting when we couldnt even see him until we were defeated again... i also posted this to request that vamps are utterly -not- allowed to even be logged into until this is fixed... otherwise they might just abuse this glitch again

Whilst I can't comment on the logging or not of vampire characters without sounding biased, I can however, respond as a former vampire player, and state that it is very easy to abuse the glitches without even taking notice untill it is done. Currently, vampires are OP as hell. It's a fact, and players controling one should avoid conflict with pcs for just that. However, this is also a direct contradiction to how a vampire acts. If they're under threat, they either run if too outnumbered, or outright slaughter everyone if they feel the odds are just right. But with these glitches, we have to be careful. Only way to kill a vampire is to slowly wear their HP down with elelmental damage, and resistances sort of kill that possibility. The other option is turn. That auto kills the vampire because it's also glitching, but not everyone can turn.

Overall it's simply best to avoid conflict with the vampire if the vampire in question is prone to be agressive under stressful IC situations. Untill it's fixed.

Also as mentioned it is best to be general and not player specific. Player specific should only be revealed to DM and or Oda.
