not faithful enough ? :(

my char was walking around in downtown dohral and passed a group of friendly ruffians. suddenly, she was hit w/a helluva curse [all abilitities lowered at least 3 points each], w/the following chat text -

Amaner, in anger at your lack of faithfulness of late, curses you as you enter the fray!

what does this mean? first of all, there was no 'fray' -- there was no battle of any sort. second, what is expected of my character? should she have prayed at the temple or something? this is strange, because yesterday amaner was just gushing over how wonderful my char is, and buffed her to the nines -- also for no reason at all.

finally, there was no fray yesterday either. the ruffians have always been polite as princes. i get the impression they were supposed to have gone glowey and attacked, which might've been adequate reason for amaner to send a boon. are things working as they should?

Chars based on faith need to pray to their god every so often or their divine favor gets low, if its too low your own spells can curse you, or things that you have been experiencing, and if its high, good things happen, such as instead of dying you could get a full heal. Donating to your church helps too.

hey, thanks. is there any way i can tell what my char's level of this divine favor is? is it like a stat?

That i couldn't tell you, i myself have not yet made a faith based character but i have heard things about their mechanics, but i am sure it is a stat because it drains over time, and things such as a full heal are a big dropper.
