So, I don't know what's causing this. It has been around since I installed NWN on my only working computer.

wow that's kind of awkward to see... kind of looks neat in another way though... never thought of how things looked without any of the pictures on anything in the game...

Ok what card have you? If you have ATI Radeon, you need to be sure the catalyst program is properly installed. YOu can go to amd.com website and download it.
What is your OS?

Re: Evil Whiteness of Evil
Yes your graphics card, your operating system. That looks like the toolset not actual game.

The top one is the toolset, the second is in game. My graphics card is Intel(R) HD Graphics. My operating system is Windows 8 64-bit.

Re: Evil Whiteness of Evil
white texture like that is 'NULL Texture' it occurs when either or combination of the following occur:
- Graphics Card Driver is not Direct X 9 compatible (install driver from manufacturer not the junk that windows uses automatically)
- Graphics Card Driver doesn’t match the graphics card hardware (ie using a generic driver, again installing the right driver should fix this)
- Direct X 9 isn't installed correctly/completely (being windows 8 this is very lightly, download and install the Direct X 9c runtime)
- Being a 64 bit O/S you should have the 'CPU Affinity' set in the ini file, (not lightly to be the problem but its worth checking)
- The Graphics Card hardware simply can't handle compressed textures (Can find this out with ddcaps or dxdiag) (to get around this you can decompress the DDS files in the haks into TGAs)

Re: Evil Whiteness of Evil
OK... First off
1. Windows 8 is < or = Prototype DOS...... I suggest Linux Mint or Windows 7.
2. Both ATI Graphics cards and Windows 8 have been known to have issues with NWN (windows 8 has issues with a lot in fact).
Now how to fix...
1. You could switch to a Nvidia card. There architecture is generally more compatible with a wider variety of programs.
2. whichever way you go, take Erins advice and download the drivers from the ATI or Nvidia website.
****End Note****
I have actually heard rumors that windows 8 itself is not directly compatible with DirectX 9 from the get go and you need to download that.

Windows 8 is like a maze, a dark pitch black maze. I'm not sure how to roll back to Windows 7, I would if I could though.
