Scorch marks

simple suggestion.

make scorch marks from fires etc, vanish after a time span or at least clean when the rest of the aria dose. reason is simple, as is they stay forever and heavily trafficked places get polluted with them.

The design calls for all track objects (including the scorch marks) - should fade over time & weathering. For several months we've had the weather system mostly OFF - so you don't see the fades atm. Eriniel is working on the weather system (you may have noticed the temperatures became more seasonally sane recently). As we progress through the weather system overhaul, you should see the fading of track objects return to our desired normal.

IIRC the plan also calls for such objects to be 'destroyable' by PCs with the right combination of level, feat, skill, and stats on an effort to do so. The idea being, if you are not a tracker, your attempt to cover a trail usually makes it more obvious to the tracker. If you are a tracker, you then have a chance to make it harder to find for those with less tracking skill.

perfect, after all people can use that to leave a "false" trail by covering up their true trail to leave them follow the fake

i am glad they will fade when things are working.

just wish they were removable for the time being to clean places up.

hmm...there is an item IG that actually is supposed to remove tracks, would it work on the scorch marks too?
