"Pon Faar"
Borrowing the phrase from the priginal Star Trek about Vulcan males going into season so to speak. Why can't the male lycans do so as well why just the females?
Fair is fair.

Re: "Pon Faar"
I've always thought of the mating season as Pon Farr! XD And not that I can see- The Ladies 'sniff' and suffer will saves, but the men don't seem to care one bit. Like they're always in mating season anyway.

Re: "Pon Faar"
Friends,
It is interesting to note that human estrus cycle is perhaps unique in the world as other creatures snychs-up their reproductive cycle with auspicious times of the year to raise young. You'd think that departure from this norm would be disastrous but actually by not synchronizing up our played up another of their advantages - omnivorous diet. In different parts of the world, different food sources (for humans) become available at different times of the year. The broad range of foodstuffs our habitation range made available meant that initially the optimal fertility season varied from place to place, but by being of variable estrus cycles, the human population ensured that at least some of their females would be giving birth at providential times of the year. As we became adept at trading excess foodstuffs with neighbors and more adept at squeezing more sustenance year round from the local environment too, our species found that year round we could birth and raise young. The rest is just fecund prehistory.
In animals including bear, wolf, even rat, the male responds to the scent of the ovulating female. This is what we programmed in Dohral. The males ARE effected, but only seasonally - very like the animal form with which they are associated.
Be well. Game on.
