dwarves - thirsty lil tykes

Upon entering an area where a keg exists or coming in line of site of one - a dwarf must make a will save or suffer increased thirst.

Well, doesn't sound too good. Most players already struggle with RP when the HTF systems starts to kick in and conversation is spammed with those emotes.

And well, maybe not all dwarves are alcoholics (Drurazhor himself never drank a single alcoholic drink, being a druid that was born and raised at the wilds.).

But if this idea would be introduced into the server, why not add something else with that too? Like; dwarves get feisty and all when drinking any kind of booze, more inclined to go into a fight also; so, when dwarves drink alcoholic drink, maybe AB bonuses? Heck, with the senses all messed up and barely feeling any pain, dwarves should even get damage absorbtion when drunk Razz

Hmmmm... point made. What if we gave dwarves increased 'capacity'? e.g. increase the size of the thirst bar for that race, thus making it possible for them to be 'something of a camel' in addition to being just plain 'known for drinking beer'.

Sounds good. And now that you mentioned that, racial traits should also apply to the HTF systems, aswell maybe special kind of food/beverages? Some would influence on the HTF systems, for example, the coffee (or culvpirya(?)), after drinking it, it would make the fatigue bar drop slower. Thoughs?

exactly so! Erin has it setup now that drinking tea (made in game as noted in prior post) actually boosts your fatigue level some - much as if you had rested. So the scripts are there to handle that already. Very Happy  Erin is GENIUS.

Yeah, is this tea that... Culvpyria? Culvpurya? Dohral's redbull version, when you drink it, your fatigue bar goes up, but I'm talking about one that instead of increasing it, actually made the bar levels drop in a slower rate.

But yeah, giving it a second thought tho, it doesn't seem that usefull/necessary.

Also, kudos to Erin, the htf system is pretty well crafted! Very Happy

Since Dwarves are known to be able to drink their weight in ale. what about a modification to a dwarven defender like the more the class drinks the better his skills?

Hmmm, no I don't think that is good, even if a dwarf can drink his weight in ale, dwarves still get drunk and have the same effect on them as humans and other races do, they just do not get drunk so FAST, so they have a higher endurance and a higher tolerance against the stuff.

Added info : our system for being sober/drunk is based on how much you drink (potency of drink counts) vs your CON score - so dwarves with a generally higher CON than other PCs do get an advantage in terms of "they don't get drunk as fast" - but I do think what is missing is the ability to drink MORE than other PCs as these PCs get that "I managed to finish the drink, but am no longer thirsty." message and after that, they cannot drink anymore (like any other PC), so I'm looking at this change to the THIRST bar as a possible way to make the dwarves more 'absorbant' lol.
