Quiver in fear! Empty Quiver in fear!

Arcane archers (and other archer-type characters) tend to go through lots of arrows. I've seen this handled in a variety of ways, on a variety of servers. Some just say 'suck it up' and buy/enchant your own arrows, others make shops available to arcane archers with reduced prices, and still others gave Arcane archers some means to generate an amount of arrows similar to that they went through.

So is it possible to add a way to enchant a quiver to produce a sort of arrows (unsellable, undroppable) comparable to a weapon?

seen it on a server that they made a quiver item with charges/uses for a day that would make arrows.... dunno if that's what you meant?

I like the idea of Arcane Archers being the only class that can Enchant bows to have Unlimited Arrows, perhaps done by placing an arrow of the type you want your bow to fire and a magical item, like a crystal or jewel (just suggestions). This could maybe even be done with some of AR's special arrows, like the Fey arrows or the Darkness ones.

Fey arrows are incredibly glitchy (or were at least).

Zaiah can make an arrow do about +4d12 without a problem so that could make excellent arcane archer bow-arrows Razz

Yes, it is possible to make arrows that do 4d12 elemental damage.

The question in this thread is: can/should arcane archers be able to have some way to not have to use 40 hard-to-find items every time they need a new batch of 99 arrows (assuming they can find an enchanter).

NWN's available 'unlimited arrows' are rather useless beyond a certain level because of the sort of weapons available to non-bow-users at equally high levels.

Maybe even just a special 'Quiver' container into which they can put the sort of arrow they have and recieve untradeable undroppable duplicates from?

I'll work on some special bows for people, but you may have to work for them.

Here's an idea for one, since we have some sentient melee weapons, let's create a sentient longbow that gives advice when the player misses ("A little to the left, Sir/Lady") giving them an attack bonus and whatever else we find appropriate for the magic level of the weapon, perhaps it was a wizard before it was a weapon, and has spells a day?
