...starts a cut scene that cannot be aborted..
OOoppsy, thanks, will fix that, its only suppose to last a few seconds, to stop aborting the teleport.

Templahwandi - spell cast is random, so you were lucky there...

Sheelalahwandi - As the name suggests is seasonal.

No apparent effects
Well *evil grin* some of these effects are good, some not so good... A few of those mushrooms are prized by poison makers for good reason... Delayed effect poisons are cleaner, less chance of getting caught if they drop an hour after you've left. Very Happy

This one seems sort of silly to me... i have nothing agenst a artifact or very powerful item with the ability to do this but a mushroom seems pretty far out there even for D&D...

just my input.

In nature mushrooms like all other wildlife are adapted to their environment over an almost countless time.

Thus mushrooms here are designed like that, for example the Templahwandi has developed in extreme wild magic zones thus saturated its entire evolution by the magical weave itself...

Mushrooms of cause have their own defense against being eaten, the magic mushroom in RL contains a potent hallucinogenic, most toadstools contain some of the most potent poisons nature can produce. Add Magic and Divine properties of D&D to that...

Raukotelco mentioned in the previous posts evolved in the most evil of divine places, it has fed on evil divine energy for its entire evolution. Probably not the kinda thing a sane good adventurer type would sample without some WEIRD sh** happening to them.

Should it not be more potent than RL mushrooms?

Mushrooms in real life are quite diverse - and remarkably, as a general rule, the ones that you eat and get sick from soon are actually less likely to kill you than the slower sort - one form of european mushroom I read of, takes weeks to kill and often does not show any sign of damage for up to a week (while it slowly destroys the victim's liver). These were used by assassins in preference to other quicker forms of poison because the assassin then had plenty of time to put distance and alibies between himself and the poor victim.

Some of the best assassins worked out antidotes or neutralizing agents which they would dose themselves with, in order to imbibe the same toxin laced foods as they served their victims. Note also, one of the reasons that a good cook was VERY HIGHLY PAID in medieval times, especially if from a far away location, was because they would know how to prepare dishes their client's guests will not have likely encountered before, making 'hiding' the taste of a poison that much easier. "Of course it is supposed to be that spicy - delicious isn't it?"

The above link gives some insight to real world mushrooms - when designing these, we factored in magic and other 'influences' not normal to the real world - but tried to come up with some interesting and 'logical in a magical way' effects for each type.

Have fun discovering them (if you sim-live long enough to do so).

Be well. Game on!

*chuckles* I am glad to see so many responding to the post .

And yes the effects should be varied like in RL .. and *giggles* suppose it's a good thing on some of those .. so be wary that some that seem to have no apparent effect might kill ya later in game.

And I actually did this as sort of an experiment and guess you could say curiousity to see what Eri and Daht had come up with. *giggles* as you can see I was not disappointed .. also wanted to see if there were any bugs concerning the shrooms.

Note *evil grin* some of these shrooms might be forthcoming in a little event Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Mwhahahahah....

so fair warning Razz affraid
