Crafting Hints

A Light Hammer can be used on the anvil in certain situations to shape metals. One such example is placing a key in the anvil with an Iron Band. You can use the hammer on the anvil to reshape the iron into another key. It is also possible to use this hammer on anvil in a more aggressive manor to shatter small items if you only need one small peice or require such materials as one would get from smashing items... such as material components in rituals or spells.

More things can be used on the enchanting table than is covered in the college course.

Specialized crafters might find arcane tools useful, the spell research desk has a number of item crafting based functions, and the magic scope is useful to find out what an oil dose before you apply it to an item.

Items made from raw materials up are always better quality and more durable than other items.

Weapon Masters are able to do expand their 'weapon of choice' beyond the normal limits of other crafters.

Magic Oils exist and can be crafted by PCs proficiant in Herbology and arcane skill. These often require unusual ingredients.

Thanx for the facts! It would be nice if there were books one could find and learn from or an NPC.

We do prefer ICly exploring the secrets (that's why there are such secrets) but we had to make a few known to tease and taunt you into seeking the rest. As far as in game books and similar 'historic' text - we are soon to release more in the game but are also SEEKING WRITERS TO HELP US MAKE MORE IC LORE TEXTS (and especially to help give them a chance to sound as if written in different voices more).

Yes but the various bookcases which are supposed to allow you to search for tidbits do not work. You used to walk by them and the search would start and would find interesting things.

Yes if it is fixed,you can walk by some in any building and you automatically go in search mode.

A'rys was able to do that when I first came here but neither her or Charia have been able to but should be.

it randomly happens to me it seems. i can do that with the shelves in the enchant room, and then sometimes not.

Enter Detect Mode before aproching them.

There is a special case for those with keen sense... walk (not run especially not hasted) upto the bookshelf.

They are this way instead of the old way due to the old way opening and starting as soon as anyone got near the books...
