i was thinking of making a character who uses whips, but then i remembered 90% of servers/campaigns dont have whips that are worth using. I was wondering if i did make such a character, would a dm help me out and make a whip that could actually kill things...or something, beyond just being a free disarm feat.

pretty sure the crafting system works on whips too... can make nearly anything you might want on one with it...

Heather is correct. If your character does not have the skill maybe you can pay another character to do it for you.
