How old is that game!? Did they seriously steal my idea? what year did that come out?

It's interesting that the darkness or 'nothingness' is one of the most universal representations of fear for people. It's connected to monsters under the bed, nightmares, insanity...

Many games have it where the 'darkness' is a literal thing. A being that is connected with fear.

Like Fable, or 'Don't Starve'. Terry Pratchett also had 'The Dark' which was different to regular darkness. He intentionally doesn't describe it, but The Dark was a darkness that could kill. How, what or why... who knows. But there was a reason to fear being in the dark. Fables (a comic, not the game) had a 'Mr. Dark' figure, who was the boogieman, the monster under the bed, the nightmare man and more- he was the dark. He was the nothingness.

yes I remember this. Good represenation especially the ending of the shadow saga.
