We have so far amassed three donations and a pledge, the donations are sufficient to cover one month's operation and then a bit more, the pledge on top of this brings us just over half-way to the goal. NOTE - hosting on this server gives us TOTAL control of the system. Erin has achieved strong security, enhanced NWN functions with server side scripting, and configured the system to run FAST. The location of the server, in a professional, secure data center, ensures that we have redundant power supply and redundant VERY FAST Internet connections - the result being that the server stays online and available with minimal lag. More, when the server hard drive went bad last year, it was down for all of 45 minutes while the techs replaced the drive with a new one and copied all our files. The fee for replacing the drive? NOTHING. THAT kind of uptime and fast service is worth a few dollars it costs us.

For anyone who wants to donate - it is EASY - even if you have no credit card. Simply get a pre-paid card, put some funds on that card and then use it in conjunction with our DONATE BUTTON found everywhere on the forum (header) and on every page of the web site.

If the server goes dark, it stays dark. NOW is the time to act like a community. Step up and help shoulder the wheel friends, lest is stop forever. I don't want you all to think I'm just being a bastard here, the server we are running on is the same one we've used for six years - they do not make them like this anymore and if it closed, I would NEVER find another like it, instead (at a higher price) I would have to get a more 'modern' server with multiple cores and such that would not help NWN at all to run. In short, we've got panacea here; stability, features, static IP... support the server or it goes bye-bye.
