In the last 48 hours we began experiencing highly unusual activity with the server - some sub-systems were not engaging at all, and in fact no spawns were being executed. On investigating Erin discovered the logs showed some hardware anomalies, and telltale heat alerts dating back to the 14th of April, with about 20-occurances. These caused a throttling of processes being executed on the CPU, and some scripts were therefore never executed... like spawns. We opted to have a tech put hands-on the system today, called it in and 20 minutes later had a return call from the techs to tell us that the system as found had a high-rise heat-sink with a cpu cooler-fan that was turning noticeably slow - this was replaced with a low-rise heat-sink and new fan (better clearance for air flow improvements).

Erin began checking systems when the server came back online and declared the running temp to have improved considerably. So the good news is, the hardware is fixed. The bad news is that some databases were corrupted, and are being repaired/reverted. Part of this task is completed in fact, KUDOS TO ERIN our Princess of Codalot! Alas, even a princess needs sleep, and our heroic lady has taken her leave to that ends. Tomorrow we will sort out the last of the issues.

FOR NOW - please do not bother about anything crafting related. Otherwise the server should be operating OK. Tomorrow all will be resolved.
