Unusual Activity: Humfoodale

*Lia moves to sit close to arrna and leans against her abit not seeming to care to sit on the floor glances at Adrastia* well i believe i've told you alot of the stuff i know from the inn in tivook, but i live out here as well and have seen what the monsters have been doing out here, how they been working together, using tactics to try to ambush. I also found a note off of an ogre while out to far west that was written in abyssal. I've had someting speak into my head and while near dead i saw the attack on the eastern citadel. What ever was taken from there was taken to the far west. I plan to see this through with what ever help i can offer

*grim sits in the tent, mostly beside Lia* just herd things and came to help, not know anything else.. just.. need to help.. *he still seems to b mostly staring at Adrastia* ..thought.. you.. -no now not time...

The falcon on Adrastia's shoulder dissipates slowly into mist, dispersing in the air inside the tent. The temperature drops a few degrees, but you can't help but feel like you all are still being watched.

The wind blows outside. The tent stays closed, keeping the worst out, but sways slightly as it gusts every few mjnutes.

*As Lia lays against her dire wolf sitting and talking about some of the stuff that has happen out in the far west or at the eastern citadel, she begins to fidget abit at the feeling of being watch she listens to what is going on outside*

Outside throughout the camp little is heard over the wind blowing over the tent, camp has settled in for the night and most are already asleep or otherwise preparing for the morning.

Elowir enters a tavern in Humfoo, seeking a few minutes respite before starting his work this night. Tired from a day spent fruitlessly wandering the woods to the southeast, he listens to the various town folk gossip about the caravan that had passed through earlier that day.

Elowir goes up to his room at the Inn, changes himself - he can't perform using a mithral chainmail, it just doesn't feel right, neither confortable - and applies some bandages.

"Some people just don't learn their lesson, it's the fourth time I drive back the same group of bandits and they ask for mercy. *sighs* They're getting more troublesome, I beginning to think they're trying to learn how I fight, they even injured me this time.*shrugs* Guess next time there's no mercy then.

After patching up the bandages, and dressing a more confortable clothes, he heads back to the tavern. He heads to the north-east corner of the Tavern, and takes the same seat as the previous nights. He takes a deep breath and relaxes, trying to forget that another day had passed and he as yet to meet the one he seeks. He won't sing or tell any story, not for now...

"I still need to get my drink and my food first, can't do a proper perform on an empty belly. *smirks to himself as he mumbles*"

That said, with a wine and a bread, he returns to his seat, he silently casts on himself the amplify spell, and listens to the crowded Tavern. Rumours, that's the only thing he needs, or maybe an opportunity.

Nothing special is talked about, save for the camp that sprung up over the course of the day. A table is even occupied by a few men from the camp drinking.

A few men from town get up and walk over to the men from camp, they had gotten louder than most but had yet to do anything to offend.

"I think it's about time you leave. We don't want you here in our town." one of the men says to the group, ruining the friendly environment and leaving in its place one of suspicion and hostility. "Perhaps this will teach you better for believing you can just take our work and then enjoy our drink!"

A few of the other natives nod in agreement,  and the two men at the table look at each other, silently agreeing to return to camp (and friendlier company.) They move add if to get up, but are blocked.
"You asked for us to leave, and we're leaving. Please,  let us return to our families safely." If anything, this seems to anger the three local men more, and tension builds in the air to the point where things look like their about to get physical.

*Inside the command Tent Adrastia rubs her temples with one hand while looking at all that are gathered in there, Charia, Grimtooth, Lia*

"So, we have a vision, a voice in your head, an attack and SOMETHING stolen from the Citadel, which does not even leak through WHAT has been stolen...that is suspicious but yet no basis to start a greater search, the giants and ogres are, but we need some sort of evidence or indicators to know where to look, right now we stumble pretty much in the dark, only knowing SOMETHING is going on but not what."

*She looks the map in front of her over, leaning on the table while she pulls her helmet off again, holding it on her side*

"I can sense a general fog of evil OVER the caravan, not any other evil, then these few things, something is wrong for sure, but what, where, and by whom is the question, I fear unless we have a general investigation, or an Inquisitor working day and night to get things out of people who otherwise deny to speak whereto why they go where monsters and raids are getting more dangerous, we do not have much of a lead...we need to know WHAT was stolen, and we need to know WHO has it and WHERE he is to find out more, or capture some lackey that knows more, that or we need an army to root out the monsters from humfoo, most of the counted we have not, and I believe until something actually HAPPENS, we will not get nother clue, unless perhaps the hunters find something or one of you, my hands are pretty much bound unless I get enough troops so I can take Sanvar and the other few with me on patrol or on a directed quest."

I agree it does not make much sense with what been going on either. I could try to scry the chest see if they still have it. Just maybe can get a idea of a location. But the last time  i tried to scry next to the pyramid under the eastern citadel all I got  was a gerneral feeling that it was very far to the west. I'm not sure it would work but it might be a start to try.Other wise just have to search around and hope we stumble on something. *Lia looks to arrna and sits up as the dire wolf heads out of the tent and is gone*

*grim just watches them and the map nodding, listening but saying nothing*

*Rubbing her chin silently as they speak their mind Adrastia twists one of her rings on her finger bit and then shakes her head*

"All we have are speculations, a menagerie wizard, someone called Valerion, or some other unknown person or force, we need to stick with what we know for sure, if you can investigate your assumptions, please do so but we need to stick with what we have now for further steps, and the most troubling thing to me is, that according to my second in command, none of the people here are carrying ANY magical markings of any kind, meaning they are not controlled by magic, if not by magic, divine power? No that also not, unless my senses mislead me, and none of these people are evil, I feel evil like a fog, but that is of the general situation, like when someone has a feeling something does not bode well."

*She grinds her teeth as she looks at the maps*

"Lia, your wolf should remain with us or you with it, alone it will most likely be seen as a danger and taken down to avoid things getting ugly because of shock and terror."
*Slowly eyeing the map again she scratches the back of her head*

"If you can do some investigations on these people do so, but otherwise we still are stepping in darkness without any clue, has there been any kind of similar occurrence in the past? Something that might give us a hunch?"

Arrna should be back soon she went to take care of some business. Arrna been staying close to me after some problems with drow. As she mentions that Arrna quietly enters the tent and curls up beside Lia licking some blood off her muzzle and content.

I haven't been here long enough to really be able to answer that one. Even I am not exactly sure where to go and how to help maybe scrying that chest might help but it's hard to say untill try. If you think that would be a worth trying, is there a pool of water or river near by?

*Furrowing her brows Adrastias eyes narrow and she starts to bellow* "You are in MY tent here, and I am meant to keep order up in here, I hope for you your dog to have only just killed a roaming animal and none of the lifestock or did something worse, this is a delicate situation either keep the animal close to you at all times so everyone knows it is YOUR pet or be prepare that it comes back with a bolt or three in it, if at all, one or two false movements and we could have riots or worse on our hands!"

Theres sounds of a muffled conversation outside, then the tent is open. A soldier walks in, salutes, then hands Adrastia a rolled up parchment.

"By your orders, Lady" He then leaves.

as you wish, once this meeting is over and we are allowed to leave arrna and i will remain close but outside of the camp, Arrna is my companion not my pet if i tried to treat her that way she would leave and would be her right. *Falls silent as she seems abit annoyed at arrna being called a dog and pet but says nothing to keep from having an arguement but looks at the soldier as he walks in handing a rolled up parchment*

*Adrastia seems to calm down a lot at Lia's remarks to stay out of camp*

"You are out of camp at command here, but it is important to keep the people calm, otherwise we things might get real ugly, real fast"

*Then she turns to the soldier and salutes aswell as greeting, taking the scroll and opening it to read it*

*Lia closes her eyes abit listening as she lays against arrna* hopefully some kind of good news.

*grimtooth sighs and glances back* If you needing me, be teaching them how to use a greatsword.* Grim walks over the the men that are praticing and grins*

*Lia had first though to lay down but quickly changed her mind and walked out of the tent with Arrna following her, Lia heads to find some water. Once she does she sits at the edge of it and looks at the water as she begins to cast scrying. Lia focus on the details of the chest that was taken from eastern citadel by the goblins.*

*Before Grimtooth was outside the first table goes flying to her leftas Adrastia hauls it to the side, storming after him and grabbing his mane, twisting it, several hairs being caught inbetween the steel plates of her gloves, not yet pulling but keeping him from walking forward, with a calm voice, yet like the calm before a volcano bursts she would silently speak to him*

"THAT is exactly that kind of behaviour that might let this escalate, I have only five men here, those others, Humfoo guardsmen, around me they won't bother you, once I am not around you they most likely are to not know who you are and before you can pull papers they will pull weapons and use them, not to speak of the terror you might cause withing the commmon folk, so get back in that tent, sit down, and if you have any ideas, contribute them, but do not start walking out on already terrified farmers who are now taught how to handle a weapon, it does not matter who starts any fights here, I will end them, in a unfortunate way for BOTH sides most likely!"
