Unusual Activity: Eastern Citadel

*Mialee looks surprise as she watches one of the cats change forms. she looks at the other cat before looking back at grace*yea you could say that. what was the thing that went into the temple after the two males?

Grace was pleasantly surprised when the elven women didn't seem too off put by a cat turning into a human woman. That would have added more explaining to do. She glances at Dru, but knows the other druid would prefer to keep to his animal forms.

"A tiefling by the look and smell of him. Why were you following the two men?"

Well they were arguing with someone name Garret outside the city  by the bonfire about some dagger that  he was demanding. heading to the citadel which everyone knows they lock their gates at night so i was curous how they were going to get in. There was one with symbols carved on his body and another one that was smaller then him he touched the guards  and they open the gate and turned to face the wall. then finally came here to the temple.    *she begins to look at the pyramid *

The conversation is suddenly interrupted by the hustle and bustle of someone charging down the tunnel at full speed.

*as mialee hears someone coming down the tunnel she goes to hide behind the closes pillar and watches to see who comes down the tunnel*

Aria comes running down the tunnel at speed, but stops at the open gate, almost falling over she quickly regains balance and pulls back her hood, looking around a moment, she walk up the to pyramid, not even noticing the others she pulls out some books and begins looking the object over, taking in every detail of it.

Grace takes a defensive stance as Mailee hides, but then relaxes when it's a person she's all so familiar with.

"Aria? Aria, what brings you here?"

Aira stops and blinks looking over at grace the sketch of the symbol is ruined now it seems
"I came to see if i could discover anything about this pyramid and besides I was getting bored doing nothing and well this thing intrigues me."

*Mialee relaxing as she realize it's Aria and comes out from behind the pillar, dispelling her invisbility*

"Seems we've all come down here for varying, but similar reasons." Grace looks to where she last saw Dru, noting the other druid would likely not wish attention drawn to him, so doesn't mention him. "I came down here after being shown a vision from another druid- who they are, I don't know, but their mind is... interesting. I saw the pyramid used in a ritual, unleashing fiends upon Esrogoth, using a ritual knife to, what I presume, sacrifice people. When I came down here to investigate, Valerion was here- he returned an artifact of some sort, was gifted the knife I saw in the vision- did some magic, acted like Valerion, then 'poofed' away. Then a tiefling appeared, panicked, and jumped into the pyramid- after two men came down here, inspected the pyramid and then vanished themselves." Grace looks to Mialee at this, acknowledging she may have more information on that particular note.

"Planar activity is not my strong subject, nor is arcane magic. If it's natural, then maybe I can help- but this pyramid reveals nothing to me." Grace circles the pyramid, frowning at it. "I don't like the idea of this thing remaining active. I don't like the idea of Valerion owning that knife. And I don't like the idea that something or someone has the gem used to power this. This thing sits near the centre of a tangled mess, and I feel frustratingly confused as to what. Mentions of Mind flayers, demons, drow, ice giants, planar portals. This land seems to have far too many holes, letting in every other plane" Grace sighs.

*nods*The two men that vanished here i followed them from the camp outside of the city after they had been arguing with another at the camp about something of a dagger that belong to him.One of the men had spells carved onto his body i reconize all but like two that  i could see. followed them to the gates and one of the men was touching the two guards and they were laughing with him and then one open the gate and both guards turned and face the wall. They came here one touched the portal and then both vanished.

Drurazhor remains quiet, glancing at the pyramid and often at the other people surrouding it. He gets close to where the two men once were, then he approaches the pyramid, he glares at the hallway as Aria come running from it, he frowns at her.

"[Came here because she was... 'Bored'? Amusing, to say the least...]"

He then looks back at the pyramid, with a sight, he slowly scratches it with his claws on one of the pyramid sides.

Aria looks at the cat and grins,before looking back to teh pyramid, not before she reply's in animal
[I can talk animal too you know,and dont ask, long story"
Then she looks at Grace and Mialee
".. those guards are just staring at the wall now..., can you describe or draw the markings?.. might help me get a better idea.."

these were the spells i could identify on my own that was carved into the skin, light , magic missle, ice storm, lightning, there was two that i did not reconized but i'll try to describe it.*she tries to describe the other two that she saw to aria*

Drurazhor glares back at Aria as she comments, and with a frown he nods.

"[I know you speak animal, that doesn't change anything, my argument still stands.]"

He then looks back at the pyramid, scratching constantly its side, analyzing the odd structure.

Aria lets out a deep sigh.
" From what you've told me, I cant tell anything other than the fact they ARE Arcane spells, we may want to consider them VERY high , seventh circle or higher, as for the pyramid... well it's a conduit of some sort, and was used recently, twice, in succession I also cant tell how it was activated, we're in the blind here.. is there anything related to it that may help?..."

She puts away her book and things and sighs Always so many unknowns.

i'm not exactly sure i haven't really had a chance to look at it kinda keep getting distraced or surprise *Mialee walks up to the pyramid and touches the pyramid closing her eyes she focuses on it.*

Something inside the pyramid hums as it resonates with the energy generated from being examined by the two mages at the same time.

*Mialee opens her eyes and look inside the pyramid as she hears the humming before looking at those near her *

"Looks like you may be able to charge it, like the gem might have. I'm not sure if that's a good thing.... Maybe we should just track down a priest and ask what they know about the fiendish portal that's sitting in the middle of their temple. We can ask nicely."

Grace folds her arms and sighs. Planar business and arcane magic. Not her area. She was feeling useless and frustrated and often situations like this ended up being suddenly turned into dramatic near death experiences because a powerful being got bored and decided to throw creatures around the planes for the hell of it.

Grace huffs in amusement, "It's a tiefling. And if the visions are anything to go by, that place leads to the abyss. Demons come from the abyss, yes? I always get a little confused. But either way- I am not going into the abyss, to rescue a half fiend. I don't really feel like going into the abyss period. He'll survive. He might even have family down there."

"I'm more concerned with how to deactivate this thing- hopefully permanently." Grace circles the pyramid, arms folded. "How would you get back out if you went in? Regardless of who went down there- it seems foolish to risk more people for an individual."

" I'd say it two way, another one like this on the other side,But for once I agreed, i'm not going in, where ever it leads, Lia said she had a dream, something was stolen?... maybe that was it's normal power source... but then, who took it and to power what?... This is Raising so many questions, wheres a priest?...we should talk with one."

Aira sighed again, Something about this was off, why the abyss? this thing could lead to ANY place, as long as there was another, on the otehr side. Who place this here and why?... was it part of a greater plan, invasion?.. Going through it would possibly answer some, but with no assurance that they'd be able to come back.

Drurazhor stops glaring at the pyramid, and sits on the floor, wagging his tail slowly from side to side, watching Mia and Aria, apparently they're arcane spellcasters, and might be more usefull in this matter.

We wished to just go away from that darkened temple, but something was holding him in that place, perhaps the fact that the pyramid might open up a portal to the abyss at an unknown time, and he feels like he should do something about it, altought there wasn't much a druid could do.
