voicesets won't work

Hi,

I have created several new pc's in the last few weeks but it seems their voicesets ain't working on any of the new creations...even if i select a standard voiceset.

could someone send me a soundset.2da file that works?

Sound working otherwise? Area sounds, animal voices, water fountains, lava?

I think maybe it is some of the custom voice sets my winged elf uses the voiceset of the Seer from SOU yet not all emotes work For instance, if I select thank-you, no voice comes out so I have to type thank-you.

It is possible it is part of the NWN code as I have tried to use the same voiceset and the same thing.

Some voicesets are not 'standard' pc voicesets, but NPC voicesets.


PC voicesets have the full voices. These are the voice sets named 'Noble Hero' or 'Reserved guardian' or the like.

NPC voicesets don't have the the full voice commands- they can't say things like 'thank you', 'bad idea' and so on. They're named things like 'seer' or have an actual NPC name on them.

If you choose an NPC voiceset, I'm afraid there's nothing you can do. It's not a complete set.

The standard PC voicesets should work- if they aren't working then I'm not sure what's going on. The CEP and .2da shouldn't affect that, because that's original content.

What voicesets are you using? Can you remember the names?

So that explains it. I am using the voice set of the Seer from NWN Hordes of the Underdark a NPC

On my old WIN98SE system, the NWN constantly made a clicking noise and during Char creation, none of the voices worked.
