Just wondering what everyone thinks about badgering the DM's to put humanoid monster (Sub)Races(Kobolds, Goblins, Ect.)

I don't see much of an issue with it, though there may be more immediate things to deal with. But if they're(The players) willing to take upon the risks of playing such races, and have proven they're at least willing to learn to RP them correctly, why not? As for ideas for the sub races themselves, I'll have to think on it more.
