I am not sure if they are connected but you may wish to check your horse saddlebags if you have one.

I would suggest seeing if another player has one or as your DM self produce a horse with packs and put something in it? Or give one to a player when you dm side, have them put an item in it log off and relog.

i had bought a horse open up my saddle bags and nothing was in there, also i haven't figured out how to summon my horse yet
