We simply need more players ...

I don't know what else to do myself ... Just short of logging into other servers, spamming with adverts for AR here, until getting banned for it ... and I don't want to do that, because it's just bad taste, and reflects badly on Argentum Regio if so.

I've made forum post, PMd folks , created a ISO players threads on steam NWN:EE forums, I've taken screenshots, posted them for public viewing ... ,

while it it's great with Joo3 , Hel, and probably eventually Mialee being on occasionally when I am playing too ... kinda gets stale at times being solo with RP characters, and limiting in a way because of lack of interaction.

Oda is great, helpful, and been a boon answering questions, taking ideas, and general OOC chit-chat.

I love it here , the systems, the difficulty , the fact not every map screen is over-loaded with OP monsters immune to everything under the sun ...

It only lacks players, and I'm at my wits end on ideas to generate more players to us.
- Not a fault of the server, but we did have a group of new people, but at the time, wild magic turned a simple goblin sweep and clear, into a Vampiric priest nightmare ... , between that, and my character ( part of that was my fault OOC, as I was in DM chat, leaving ODA a message about a non-functioning custom spell, so things i was 'saying in game to help, and aviod others getting hurt, didn't display for the new people. ) 3 or 4 of them rage quit I think.
One stayed, but have not seen person since that evening ...
Over-all, I think it just gave a bad first impression ... if given some time to explain , I think those rough edges could be smoothed out.

I would reconsider my stance on DMing here, if we got players to DM.

With Hel and Mialee being so far up in epicy levels , I can only assume they are a tad bit "stalemated" in progression, and less "new stories" to drive thier RP.
Joo3's Characters have loose ends, or new beginnings ... need to be sucked into the realm more as well.

Anyone new, will be needing interaction beyond just learning/experiencing all the "new systems" they don't get on other PWs.
Oda is only one peoples ... DM-E , has overheat issues ...
I have more time than most during my playing hours/days ... so I could swing some dynamic Dm ran plots, and such after a long bit of instruction.

But, almost a moot point to do so, or offer ... with less than a handful of us playing at the same time.

These are the PRIMARY places to promote our server. I try to keep a fresh thread or two on those services but I AM THE ADMIN so not everyone is inclined to believe me when I say 'this is a cool server' (of course the admin would say that). PLAYERS telling others that this is a cool server is what works best. So please, go post post post. It takes time, it takes effort but it is worth it. Helthan is here because I did outreach on reddit, so are several others (from reddit).

We no longer have a web site proper, without that, we lack a major tool to bring in players. I have web site code but no hosting - if we can resolve that, it would help immensely.

I totally agree, what is needed is more players. I can encourage that you all play here a lot, because an active server attracts more players too. Beyond that, post *beats drum* post *beats drum* post *beats drum* *whip-crack*

Beamdog was the only "friendly make a log in work" site for me on that list ...

THAT is exactly what is needed. When the server admin posts something like that it is often viewed as "just that guy advertising his own stuff, and of course he likes his product". When a player/consumer posts like something like that, it has more weight with random readers.

KUDOS you for stepping up.

To be honest, we need more like you and more posts like that. If we make it known we are here and what we have, the curious will seek us out. Please do feel free to repeat that effort every few weeks in various locations as you are able. EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS (and current threads are read more than old ones).

I'm banned on Reddit ( because of arguing with stupid people regarding airsoft and safety rules ) so that's a no-go for me.

GOG.com ... my log in is ancient, an old email address I can't access, will not allow me to use a new email address , keeps asking for an authentication code, I cannot ever get.

Facebook NWN community pages ... I get "spammed" with playing on Thay Pw, or Arelith. I hate Thay setting , and arelith banned me 3 years ago for having another PW override in, dropping me into a "global ban" for making " illegal characters" ... or , I've gotten a few PMs from players from here, disgruntled on past happenings.
Such doesn't look like, a good platform for adverts on Facebook NWN community groups.

I put a new advert on NWN: EE Steam forums again ... refreshed the info with same I posted on Beamdog , can't get steam to correctly display discussion forum links by copying the pag elink ... so no redirect posted here.

You are doing a splendid thing and I thank you for your effort.

As always, keeping threads like this active is important because it is largely the _current_ threads that are read. Hence, once a month or so, if someone visits these places and either starts a new thread or adds to these, it will draw eyes and that leads the players here. It is a thing that requires patience (god knows I've been doing this a while) - with enough grassroots effort, this thing will fly high.

I dont have the required hacks to play on there anymore and am not sure how to add them to my game I play on the GOG version as well as the enchanted version

now I play non hacked servers for now and why did beamdog not include the hacks to the enhanced version of the game makes me wonder

OK, if you are playing on the NWN server we host, then you do have the haks you just need to copy/paste them from the C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\hak folder to the "MyDocuments\Neverwinter Nights\NWN\hak" folder ... and also copy paste the contents from your C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\tlk folder to your "MyDocuments\Neverwinter Nights\NWN\tlk" folder ... and you should be good to play on either server.

If I misread your post and you do not have the haks to play on either of our NWN nor NWN:EE servers, say so and I"ll post the link to the haks you need along with instructions to handle the request (be sure to tell me what operating system you run).
