Merchants Available 24/7

Have merchants open all the time to accomodate palyers entry times and also only have one form of the merchant not several. If addition NPCs need for atmosphere then just make them neutral and also have the wagon masters available all the time.
I can understand trying to maintain a semblance of realism in game but you need to take into account peeps RL time to play.

i could only imagine adding some merchants that only show up at night could resolve this. and keep its realism. maybe a shadey cat somehwre in algrada, a traveling wares seller in tivook, or, well, you get the point.

What about something like a convience store? Prices may be a bit higher to buy things and maybe selling prices less than regular.

Yes I know an element of realism needs to be maintained, but also peoples RL need to be concidered as well.

He is open all day and night, his brother takes over at sunset and he returns in the morning.

And since his stock is persistent, selling to him instead of the DMFI Start shops is best as it will restock his supplies.

It makes me wonder if perhaps one or two of the major tradehouses could work like so...

24 hour load/unload of ships means the shops might as well be open too. LIGHT spells on objects in the shipyards so all can see - AND to make it more fun for RP, added difficulty to Hide in Shadows attempts based on distance from light source. Erin? Friends? Feedback?

You could be near an light source, but it still has an obejct between your hiding PC and a NPC/PC who's looking for you, only the pursuer is at the opposite distance. We have those possibilities too, so I think the 'near a light source modifyer' should only be applyed to SD characters?

I really suggest that the Court House Deed master either be open 24/7 or real estate offices in cities which are. Example I am a player, I come on my alloted game time. I want to rent an apartment but low and behold
its "after hours" damn oh well maybe I will get lucky next time I log.

The reality to this reality is We are all not in the same timezones, our play times are limited.  We could change to 24/7 availability and still keep some of the more unique aspects of Dorhal.
