Traditional Schooling 0.0

Post  Kyra_Stormshadow on Fri Jul 05, 2013 6:13 pm

While I was exploring the college IC today, it occurred to me that a good deal of historic education took place in a master-apprentice dynamic. That thought inspired a character concept which I feel may be fun to pursue.

Would anyone with a cleric character be interested in taking on an in-game apprentice? We could work out the details IC, of course, but I think this could present an interesting opportunity for RP. Let me know if you'd be interested!

(I hope this is the appropriate forum area for posting such musings. If not, my deepest apologies to all).

Tutoring would work. However unlike mages, clerics can only teach other clerics of the same domains special spells. Charia would not mind.

Hi Kyra,

I would love to work with you on this with my cleric Kendrick, he's a lvl19, Neutral Good, Cleric of Eavee, so if our domains and general alignment are compatible i would be willing to take you on as an apprentice Very Happy

The initiation alone would be a fun bit of RP

Let me know what you think Smile

cheers

Oda, thank you for the encouraging welcome! And Animayhem, I likewise truly appreciate your willingness to cooperate with this concept Smile However, because I would like it to be an ongoing master-apprentice partnership between characters, it sounds like Kendrick may be slightly better suited for the character I have in mind.

I'm hoping this project will be a lot of fun! I can't wait to see you guys in-game on my new lass, Ahjra!

No worries. I am glad you took the time to choose correct person. Charia still could help sometime if their paths cross.

Kyra,

Taking experience in account you are better off with animayhem, i'm still learning cool stuff from him, don't get me wrong i'd love to take this on, but he is more experienced and thus a better choice.

regarding this subject i recommend reading page 20 to 22 of the players guide which you can download from the main website or click here

reading the entire guide is also recommended Very Happy

cheers

Thanx sploenk. Charia is willing to help you both. However to have it as a constant would be difficult for me not only due to RL but also playing two characters. If I am on and not in an rp I would be glad to assist.
