Screen Capture

Anyone know of a good quality and free screen capture program?

i should mention that i cant emphasize the -FREE- enough because i wont buy something like that at this time.

all you do is hit the print screen key and it works like a camera, I your nwn folder make a folder that says screenshots.  It defaults to Tga format but you can say it in others.
Plus it knows which world you took it from. The screens I took are using that program.

I commend both replies!  Both are good choices, irfanview is a viewer with screen capture abilities, the Gimp is a 'all you need image editing software' and both are just plain excellent choices.

I found gimp cumbersome. Irfran has some decent editing besides if I want fancy tricks and stuff I use Paint Shop Pro, Adobe and Picasa.

I suggest looking up Bandicam or FRAPS.

I use FRAPS, and DXTORY. Although it costs money, who cares! Bandicam is free though..

I use Sony Vegas Pro for editing.

I guess i was to vague... i am looking for a screen video capture... FRAPS is good but costs money and i am not willing to spend money on something like this.

I made an xfire profile years ago and I use that for videos. It is free.

I use other programs for vid editing I have to remember which ones.

I think you can with Real One and Windows media players.
