NWN probelms

Hey, for some reason, anytime i try to log on to ANY server it tells me "connection failed, Server not responding(timed out)" Now this started last night at about 1 AM, But it's continuing even now, ODA has tryed helping me, But i think I might as ask for help.

We hardly spent any time on it and as I said, I think your issue lay with UDP settings. Let me know if you are able to work it out and get NWN running again, I'll be interested to hear what happened to disable it.

turns out, a good ole powercut got everything back to normal XD *shrugs* one of those things i guess.

Sometimes the key is to de-power (unplug) the router and or modem for 30 to 60 seconds to ensure all the capacitors discharge allowing a clean restart of the hardware. Power outtage has the same effect.

I'm having this same issue (although I haven't tried other servers) and unfortunately a complete power cycle did nothing for me. Are there particular settings I should check for with my ISP?

For ports etc pick your router from the list and it should give you a guide on what ports and how to open them.

Yes, the portforward.com site is very helpful. Remember you will need to tell your firewall that NWN needs particular PORTS and note that NWN does not use the TCP protocol but rather the UDP protocol.

I've set my modem settings according to the instructions from
http://portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Neverwinter_Nights/
and still having the same issue after rebooting my modem.

I've fixed it, the problem was the IP i was using for the server. The FAQs post says 66.232.100.90:5122 but nwnlist says 66.232.100.90:5121 and that worked. It immediately crashed upon trying to log in to a char, but I'm going to play with it more after work tonight.
