Swimming and the Destruction of Weapons
First, I was in Illfaw Fen and an Izzagator was hiding in the water so I tried to attack it from the edge, but it was out of reach. Next, I glitched into the ground and the game didn't think I was swimming. Then, after spaming my runestone, it finally let me up to the surface. Finally, I killed the Izzagator with my bow and reequiped my electric rapier and acid dagger... Only to be told in my 'status' text box that my rapier shocked me for 47 damage because I was underwater when I was above watter. I also found that my dagger's enchantment was nullified, so I went to equip the back-up dagger and it was nullified too. My third and final (powerful) dagger's fire enchantment was nullified this time.
Overall, I had:
Rapier:
Enhancement Bonus: +4
Keen
Damage Bonus: 2d12 Electricity **
Mithril Dagger (1):
Damage Bonus: 2d12 Fire **
Enhancement Bonus: +3
Keen
Massive Criticals: 1 Damage
Mithril Dagger (2):
Damage Bonus: 1d10 Acid
Damage Bonus: 1d12 Fire **
Enhancement Bonus: +2
Keen
Massive Criticals: 1 Damage
Mithril Dagger (3):
Damage Bonus: 2d12 Acid
Enhancement Bonus: +2
Massive Criticals: 1 Damage
**Enchantment was nullified by water vapor.
P.S. When did half the DMs retire?

Gear wear and tear has been on going thing. I think Eri is still tweaking it.

Re: Swimming and the Destruction of Weapons
Friends,
In this case it is not gear wear n tear, but rather the 'water feature' extinguishes fire weapons and shorts out electrical ones. SHOULD only happen when swimming with them out of scabbards, but seems to have fired when PC approached waters' edge (entered water trigger).
We'll review.

PS: I was fightn' goblens and bugbears once, and my +2 Studded Armor disappeared. Here I am fighting goblins with it all hanging out. Most embarrassing.

Friend Roger-Dodger,
Now that might be a sign of the wear n tear system. All your gear should wear out over time (we want realistic ways to make PCs spend money - maintaining or replacing battle gear is one of these).
Thanks for the heads up on that, we'll review and make sure it was the wear n tear system though.

Waaaall, it was a pretty exciting fight. I was taking some pretty good lumps there. T'was a little embarrassing too, since my 'partner' was female At least I didn't lose my sword!
