OMG TEH FLEAS!
Fleas: What the hell? I contracted fleas due to a wild magic failure of a spell. This wouldn't be so bad... but they interrupt EVERY action EVERY round, apperently induce a 50% miss chance(though this might have been due to something else happening while I was fighting the slaadi) and make it damned near impossible to get anywhere(flight, running around, using a bloody potion). Needless to say, I died... But it didn't stop there, noooo.... Apperently fleas haunt you beyond the grave and back into life again... death doesn't get rid of them, BATHING doesn't get rid of them... and the only thing I can do now is enter dialogues(they don't get interrupted by fleas)...
The idea is kind of neat, but fleas need to be easier to get rid of AND less aggressive. Because this is just becoming unplayable. And my character is going to scratch behind his ear so much he'll just gouge his own brain out. the text flood doesn't help either.

Re: OMG TEH FLEAS!
Sounds like Magic Fleas - a side effect rare Wild Magic experiences - they can even jump from PC to PC in a party (even if separated by distances). They ARE curable - I think a powerful dispel should do the trick - I can login to fix that for you if you like.

Magical fleas I can see being that aggressive... but shouldn't any spell effect be removed when you DIE?

Re: OMG TEH FLEAS!
Wild magic effects like Big Feet and such (iirc) do persist until removed - tho I'll have to search to find a reference on that, I know it can be annoying but it makes Wild Magic very very dangerous (and also can cause PCs to expend coins on a cure).

P.S. a vendor with MORDENCAINEN'S DISJUNCTION scrolls will be available this week (the scroll sales system is being tested now).

Fleas
I have gotten fleas as well. Is there a powder you can buy? If so where? What about bathing in salt water?

Re: OMG TEH FLEAS!
The magic fleas require a magic cure (and are the only type to persist beyond death iirc). Try Mordencainen's Disjunction if all else fails.

Re: OMG TEH FLEAS!
I wish it wouldnt interfere with rest function makes it hard to try and look for merchants to buy magical items
especially when thats your only choice when no one else on
Also if salt does get rid of fleas then why is you swim in the port waters which are supposed to be salt water do they not go away?
Is there another place with a higher concentration of salt?

Re: OMG TEH FLEAS!
I never said salt water cures them. I've read disputed folklore online about that killing mundane fleas but disputed is the key word. Note there ARE sand fleas so I doubt salt is effective at all. Also, magic fleas are MAGIC.

Re: OMG TEH FLEAS!
My game times vary so if a dm sees me or even a mage who either has a wand of arcane disjunction or
can cast Mordencainen's Disjunction whether by spell or scroll please send me a tell I would pay for that.
Also in regards to these fleas, either have the spell wear off by itself in two ingame days or make the purchase
of the above readily available and could be on the pricey side.
It really detracts from the game. I have not been able to really play right in it. It is very discouraging.
What may make it more bareable is if you could rest uninterrupted which is important for those of the arcane
or divine have to rest to recharge our spells. Also for the mundane they also have to rest to get the strength to fight.
The only way currently to get rid of the red zone fatigue is to get yourself killed then raised but that does nothing in regards to restoring your spells
