At night with days first hour;
came to tivook inn great power
and a wish that went most sour
was the genie of the lamp.

three wishes would be made
with no price asked to be payed?
and yet all would be dismayed
by the genie of the lamp.

the first wish but a paradox!
the second wish ungranted!
what of the third oh master?
asked the genie of the lamp!

the third wish was of kindness
made for a lonely friend
and yet a shadow of itself
would this be in the end!
