Unusual Activity: Kragfel Cliffs

Grim spins around and draws his greatswrod and point it int eh direction of teh noise, his ear twitch every witch way, and sniffing at the air
"might be best, Noise..being followed?" His voice was a low growl, and has face snarling, parts of his mane sticking up further.

*Lia jumps abit and as she turns towards the noise keeping her voice lower, has her bow ready *could carefully head back and check, hopefully it's nothing but i'd rather be sure. and then maybe best to head back to the group as well once we are sure it's nothing

As they turn around to head back, ten kobolds armed with wicked looking spears and short swords swarm forth from the bushes.

*as the kobald swarm from the bushes lia releases the arrow from the bow that she had ready tries to pick off a few more kobalds before droping the bow and grabbing her sword and shield to fight ever makes it close to melee range*

Grimtooth growls at them, knowing they wont stop, but proving that he wont let them kill him, Hackles raised he charges with his greatsword, not rushing so they hit first, but closing the gap, hopefully so Lia can shoot at them with her bow.

Lia's first arrow strikes the first kobold, dealing 11 damage. (11/22)

Weapon ready, Grim's first swing misses in the rush of kobolds, but his second strike deals 17 damage (14 physical 3 fire) to the second kobold, who had taken the lead. (27/44)

Lia's second arrow grazes the first kobold, dealing 2 damage (9/22) and the third sends it to the ground, where it begins to crawl away (1/22)

Arrna's joined the fray, in time to finish off the kobold Grim wounded. (-2/44)

The kobolds, while shaken, band together to retaliate against Grim and the wolf.

Three against one, with Grim, only one of the 6 attacks lands, dealing 7 damage. (128/135)

For Arrna, the five remaining kobolds strike in unison, but all 10 attacks miss the running wolf.

Grimtooth nods to Arrna but keep focus on the fight, leaving the one that's crawling away, possibly able to be questioned if this was quick, quickly he looked around the area then goes to attack the ones that attacked Arrna,

The bushes rustle a short distance to the south, and 4 more kobolds jump out, armed with slings, they take aim at Lia, but she has the chance to act first.

*seeing four more kobalds jump out the bushes Lia cast Call Lightning*

Clouds overhead darken ominously,  then several alarmingly loud BOOMS go off in rapid succession, frying the kobolds where they stand. (((Charia would now know of something going on if she noticed the clouds, about .09 miles away, should be able to get there in a few turns if she starts now))

Kobold Slinger 1 takes 34 electrical (4/38)
Kobold Slinger 2 takes 27 electrical (13/40)
Kobold Slinger 3 takes 30 electrical (8/38)

They release their payload, before hastily dropping everything and turning tail to escape.

Three of the five missiles hit, doing 4 physical damage. (1+1+2)     (176/180)

In the thick of the fighting, Grim lashes out with his sword, catching one of the Spear wielding kobolds attacking Arrna off guard, doing 34 damage (10 physical 5 fire, 12 physical 7 fire.)        (2/36)
It attempts to escape, but Arrna takes it down (attack of opportunity. )         (-6/36)

Arrna copies Grim's tactic, going for one of the sword wielding kobolds attacking him, unleashing two vicious bites dealing 20 damage (11+9)      (21/40)

Seven kobolds remain, 3 with swords and 4 with spears, and while they are starting to look worried, they attempt another strike, this time all coordinating on one target.

Only two of the 14 attacks strike Grim, a sword kobold landing a critical hit for 14 damage (6x2+2) and a thrust from a spear for 8 damage. (106/135)

Growls at the wound but nods to Arna, silently thanking him for being there It'd be a whole lot harder alone. He growls at keep attacking, Not losing his focus, He can tend to his wounds later.
Lia, Nature, Arrna Thank you all, Grimtooth steadied himself and prepared for the next round of attack.

*as she sees the kobalds flee she turns her attention to the others seeing if she can pick any off with out endangering her friends she carefully moves closer *

Rather than surprised, the men seem rather bored of Charia's summoning, tired of waiting around and used to the magics of the wizard Sanvar. One of the more knowledgeable men displays a confused look, as this supposed priest summons a creature of Chaos and commands it around.

At her command to leave, the men quickly break the half camp they had set up and keep pace with Charia, they still had no idea why she decided to stop only a half hour after leaving, and are happy to finally get around to what they set out to do.




Lia releases two shots in rapid succession, one grazes a kobold dealing 2 damage (19/41), the other hits Grim by mistake and deals 8. (98/135)

In two excellently performed strikes, Grim finishes off the  kobold doing 11(8 physical 3 fire) and 15 (7 physical 8 fire) damage  (-7/41)


He turns to face the next, only to have to find a new target as Arrna rips the throat out of a kobold she had knocked down. (22 crit + 10 +7)    (0/39)

Having only five targets left, Lia lets her last arrow fly, grazing the next kobold for another 2 damage. (39/42)


Not having wasted any time, the slaad appears at the fringe of the battlefield, gurgling appreciatively at the carnage before tossing a fireball into it. It croaks out what you assume is a laugh before lumbering off to find Charia and direct her here. ((Abs and Aloura get one more post each, then Charia arrives))


Grim (passed) takes 19 fire damage (79/135 WOUNDED)
Arrna ( passed ) takes 16 fire damage (135/151)

Singed and obviously doomed, the remaining kobolds attempt to flee. Of the five that survived the blast, Grim and Arrna take out two more of the fleeing kobolds, only the three manage to escape.




Grim and Lia are awarded 270 Exp each. (20x6=120 for killed kobolds, 9x10=90 for escaped/alive, and 60 for encounter/rp)

Grim whines after the fight, looking over the singed parts of his fur, holds also moves to pull the arrow out that Lia shot into him(after putting his greatsword in it's sheath on his back)
"That fireball hurt, what creature made it, it be foe?."

He whines again and reaches into his pack for a heal potion, only to find none left.
"They fought well, but some ran, that means we be on guard. Not know what happens up ahead, WE go back and tell Charia?"

*Lia moves over to grimtooth and cast Cure critical wounds on him*i am not sure who did that. Sorry about the arrow. but your right we should be on guard and head back to the group just incase more come

Grim is healed for 32 HP. (111/135 Barely Wounded)


Grim and Lia begin to retrace their steps, and almost walk right into Charia and the soldiers.

* as they walk back to camp she checks on arrna on her wounds noticing them but not severe.as they walk she quickly stop before running into the group.

Grimtooth looks at teh mens faces then shakes his head
"We Carry on, no need to rest, be Fine, Besides stopping ever half hour gets nowhere we lose trail then, Besides green thing hitting me with fire, be fine"
He growls at it slightly, before heading back to the koblods, looking for teh tracks

faced some kobalds a few got a way but limping pretty bad or crawling.
