Promoting the server.

Friends,
As I am certain you all know, we are seeking to "grow the server". We do this by outreach. This is defined as asking our PLAYERS and DMs to post positive messages about the server on "server neutral" forums such as the Bioware site [ [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ] where EVERYONE is free to advertise.

Lately the log files show that some people are using our server to promote other servers. I tell you this now, if it continues, your access to the server will be severely curtailed. It is impolite to use our server, which costs money to host, to promote other servers. That is an INSULT not only to us BUILDERS but also to our good donors whose kind donations keep us on the Internet.

Henceforth let it be known that promoting other servers on our server will result in a BAN, as is typical, first offense is 3 days, second offense 3 weeks, third offense 3 months and subsequent offenses get a LIFETIME BAN.

This is something that is very important to us here - if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. My patience with problems decreases with my advancing age. You are all hereby advised not to promote other servers via our server.

As regards playing on other servers:

I enjoy that you might play on other servers. Sometimes you come back with interesting stories to share with me, either bringing me ideas or sparking them in me, that enhance our server at some future date. It is best that you (the PLAYERBASE) play on different servers from one another, since that broadens the scope of the stories I am likely to glean from your experiences 'out there'.

I strongly recommend the bioware boards and neverwintervault.org boards to post your support for this and other NWN servers, especially as these are venues intended for exactly that. I hope to discourage non-immersive discussion on our server itself, and regardless of the fact these other servers are NWN servers these are not part of the world of Argentum Regio and hence are 'non-immersive'. The long and the short of it is, promote your favorite NWN servers in the proper channels.

ArgentumRegio (NWN1): The team behind this PW has added in 60 spells from D&D as well as an "immersion tool" that allows players to create elaborate backstories that have an impact on the game experience.
