Repairing Of Gear
I think maybe the gear status needs to be looked at as well as the repairing of them. I have been told that enchantment tables are not for refreshing of items yet they have made my items new as items I have subsequenty put in the anvils which I am told are to be used for clothing repair say your armor is new and will not be repaired.
On the flip side, I have put items in the anvils which may need repairing but yet they say I do not have the skill for it.
Exactly what is the skill? I have two characters one is a level 14 with 14 skill points in both crafting armor and crafting weapons and has a crafting license. My other character is a level 20 with 13 skill points each in crafting armor and crafting weapon as well as being licensed and has the craft wand feat.
Much Thanks

Skill for Repair items:
Wood based weapons:
Woodsmith skill +Woodsmith bonus + Craft Weapon + Class/Race/Deity Bonus
Metal based weapons:
Blacksmith skill + Blacksmith bonus + Craft Weapon + Class/Race/Deity Bonus
Armor:
d20 + Craft Armor + Class/Race/Deity Bonus
May add enchanted types here but for now see how goes...
Class/Race bonus (as stands now):
Blacksmithing = Dwarf gets +10
Followers of Deity (tried to remember spelling but don't think these are spelled right):
Stonebreaker = (if Good Favor) Double skill
Gressels = 10% of Divine favor is added to Skill
There is a working NPC repairer in Mid Algrada (I think mid) South building for those without skill to repair.

Re: Repairing Of Gear
Is there a link to a list which has this information? Dwarves logically would have highest skills.
One would think having taking the college courses and being licensed on would be able to repair basic things, as the books give bonuses.
Also how accurate is the status of gear?

Ok the link is the spectre by the carpets
However, I took a basic shield and sword non-property and "showed it to the smithy" who said they did not need to be repaired but who kept the items.
I logged in later and the items were returned to my inventory. I was glad it was not a valuble item. You can get conflicting reports as the anvil may say your gear is new and will not be repaired yet suddenly it could go poof.
I suggest that this should be fixed some how as it does not seem fair that your equipment and weapons take wear and tear yet you can not repair them.

...not completely, when the item you put on the ground is not damaged he will pick it up, tell you it is damaged, and then keeps it, you have to kill him to get it back then. *Been there, done that*

Nope. He will tell you its ready yet for a bit. Then he will say its ready. At that point you will say you wish to buy something and your item will be dropped. You can the ether walk ot with it or pay him then walk out.
It may take a few ingame hours for him to do it but he does.

Re: Repairing Of Gear
The discrepancy between the anvil and stump gear status and runestone status is still there. The runestone said my gear was in good condition so I decided to go to the college to repair it. I put everything in and the anvil and stump said they were new or nearly new. The only exception were the boots which were repaired. Going to the armorer is an option but it takes a day or two to get the item back which can be a pain.
The accuracy of gear status needs to be addressed as losing rarer items harder to get replaced.
