Alignment Shift

Ting and Charia were fighting trolls in the forest near their entrance. After a troll is killed you throw a fire bomb to get rid of the splat. Charia did that but because she damaged a living tree her alignment took a whopping hit from Chaotic Neutral to Chaotic Evil. (Daht fixed this thanks Daht). The message was you cannot cast a spell at a tree and that you must use a woodsmans axe.
First of all it was not a spell but a grenade. Secondly 10 point shift to evil? Granted Charia is a cleric of the elf god but to be penalized for an after effect? I could see maybe if it was wanton destruction of a forest.

It actually only applied to harmful spells, it was a bit much indeed, and have now fixed that in code.
The tree actually detects spells so that casters like druids can get wood without harming the tree.

Though re-reading your post it dose seem a bit odd for a Cleric of the Elven god to go round burning down trees.
