How to Connect to ArgentumRegio

Hello fellow gamer!

Welcome to ArgentumRegio and the City of Dohral. This thread is meant to help you connect to our servers online.

You will need the full game (the game, plus both expansions). If you don't already have it, you can purchase it for $9.99 (or less, there are sales on occasion) at

You will need the CEP2.1 or higher (either works and you only need one of them) - this is the 'Community Expansion Pack" which includes many new monsters and objects. Many servers (mine included) use the CEP so having it is a good thing - it expands the number of servers you can choose from. You can find these CEP at the link below...

Once you have a CEP downloaded and installed, run your NWN game, choose MULTI-PLAYER - you will be asked for your playername and password (as of this writing there is no 'Master Server' checking these so it accepts anything at all, bear in mind the playername is how the server will recognize you so don't forget your playername and note it is case sensitive).

Once you are logged in, select JOIN INTERNET GAME, you will likely get a message screen after that, click the only button offered to close it when done reading it.

Next you can click the button DIRECT CONNECT and give it the IP (address) of my server which is 96.31.77.127 (there is no player password for my server so leave that blank) then click OK.

This of course assumes you are connected to the internet. At this stage you should be connected to my server and able to create a new PC.

NOTE - many versions of CEP install with a snag - often the TLK file is in the WRONG PLACE - find it in your HAK folder, put it in the TLK folder (found in your NWN install folder, where the nwn software is found) - make this TLK folder if none exist presently. All will then work properly unless I miss my guess.

I followed all your instructions, and after a short delay with a black screen I get the message "server response timed out. you have been disconnected."

Any suggestions on how to get this to work? I'm using the GoG platinum edition.

Welcome to the server. If you are experiencing disconnects, the most likely cause is the cdkey you are using. All downloaded games are identical - and (ever since the master server user / password system died, our) NWN server uses a 'cdkey' to identify the user. All gog.com downloads have the same key initially. If yours is a gog.com download, visit the gog page for nwn and see the link for obtaining a unique cd key there. They typically send it within 24 hours of your request. I hope to see you online after you have a new unique cdkey. I hope this message addresses your issue, if not, let me know and I'll take a second swing at it.
