Unusual Activity: Eastern Citadel

Drurazhor wakes up from the vision shown to him, shaking his head, and looking to the ground again, he wasn't used to seeing those kind of visions...

"[That was... Odd, to say the least, it feels like you're scrying but... Only more abruptely and against your will]"

He then looks at Grace, she's staring at something, or someone, he glances in the direction she's looking, and spots the tiefling. Drurazhor glares at him with a frown, unsure of why such creature lurks around in the temple. He turns into the tiefling direction, and sits on the ground, still glaring at him.

"[An extraplanar being... Should we send it back where it came from?]"

[Back to where it came from? He likely came from this plane. Hard to tell with mixed races.]

Grace flicks her tail and hisses at the approaching man. She barely let Haven hold her as a cat, she wasn't about to let some fiend-blooded stranger man handle her. Noting the man's pause, Grace flattened her ears.

[ I dislike his timing though. Did your vision reveal anything? At this point I don't even know why I'm here. If this sod starts getting handsy, I'm eating his hands.]

*Following Grace's gaze he looks to Drurazor, seeing another most likely male cat, Meldranim chuckles softly, grinning with his inhuman teeth, his tounge flicking for a moment*

"Ah...I see, it is THAT time again, oh well, won't stop you two, just ignore me" , again with a chuckle he turns to the pyramid, driving his clawed fingers along the edges of the gems in them*

"Nice work...too bad it is part of a temple, I would have liked one of those, oh well, time for the shadows again, best wrap this in my cloak" ,with that he undoes his cloak, spreads his wings and folds them again, one hand slides into a bag on his side, and produces a halberd, simple, but coated with silver, which he starts wrapping into the cloak, before walking into the shadow, east of the pyramid, watching the gate, setting the halberd up against the wall, and starts knelling, always eyeing the gate.*
After a while, he draws a bow and strings it, muttering, "Just in case I have to keep someone at bay..."

Drurazhor rolls his eyes to the tiefling comment. And watches as he goes back into the shadows, then he just turns in the direction of the hallway, walking away. When he gets mid-way into the gateway and the pyramid, he glares back at weird tiefling and the pyramid, then back at Grace.

"[I don't think there's much to be done here anylonger, or are we supposed to act as sentinels from now in this place?]"

Grace flicks her tail again, feeling unaccomplished, but no longer willing to spend any more time in the temple.

[If we are tasked with guarding the place, I'd rather break the wall keeping the river out. At least if the temple is flooded it'd be harder to sacrifice to what ever that pyramid is. I wonder if it even works without the gem that seems to be missing. Perhaps we should see if we can locate it? At least it'd be something to do. Maybe who ever stole it did so to make the pyramid inactive, if it does indeed power it. Or maybe they want the power source for their own means. Rumour has it... mind flayers took it. Maybe we'll be leaving these tunnels for ones in the deep dark below.]

Grace stretches feline-like and moves to exit the temple.

In the city above, Mia is following the two suspicious men for quite a long time. It gets to a point where she worried her invisibility is going to wear off when the bigger man speaks first.

"Enough! We've been walking for at least half an hour! I don't care if we're being followed. Let's just go home, it's not like we can be followed there."

The smaller man shrugs, spins on his heel, and walks east towards the Temple entrance. Oddly enough, at their current course they will walk right into Mia after a few moments.

*Mialee quicklly moves over to the closes wall and recast invisibility not wanting to be seen by the other man but knowing that the other man seems to know where she is some how she watches them enter the temple. she waits a few minutes before following*

As Grace begins to leave she hears three sets of footsteps coming her way from the opposite side of the tunnel. It doesn't take long before two men appear (followed by Mia, who is invisible at the time) and walk with a purpose straight down the tunnel heading towards the pyramid.

*Canting his head, widening his eyes slightly, his tounge for a moment tasting the air and by that lashing out of his mouth in the darkness, he slowly looks around before his head turns to the footsteps and he raises a brow, slowly knocking an arrow yet not drawing it he follows the men with his eyes, furrowing his brows*

Drurazhor steps aside and towards one of the walls, hiding himself in the darkness of the halls, and glaring at the strange man.

[Oh, and now everything turns up at once]

She watches as the two men walk past her towards the pyramid, followed by a somewhat familiar woman. Mialee? She appeared to be invisible, if her somewhat fuzzy outline was anything to go by. Cat's eyes could see what men cannot, but they are not magical.

If Mialee felt the need to follow these men undetected, what had she heard or seen? Grace pivots and trots after the men. Maybe if she was lucky she could relieve some stress questioning them- if, of course, they gave her reason to.

[Looks like something is happening Dru. What luck.]

*mialee still following the men as she looks around the temple seeing the pyramid she moves to a pillar to watch*

The smaller of the pair approaches the pyramid and lays his hands upon the strange metal. He closes his eyes in concentration as his friend takes a position slightly behind him and watches room.

"Will you hurry? I don't like being here any longer than needed."

The small man looks back and grins at him, then closes his eyes to focus once more.

*slowly drawing the arrow he aims along it, right at the smaller one, yet he does not loose, waiting he just stares along the arrow*

Drurazhor steps closer to them, not enough to alarm them, but enough to get a look at their faces, do they seem familiar? What are they up to?

The tall man looks down at the cat briefly, before walking towards his friend. He puts a hand on the smaller man's shoulder, and they both dissappear in a flash of light.

*as Mialee watches them disapear she takes a sigh of relief as she steps out from the pillar she was hiding as she looks around the temple then at the pyramid*

"Shag the tits off a harpy what was THAT?!" *The Tiefling looks through the slits of his helmet wide eyed, the arrow fell to the floor, clanking with the point against the stone while the Tiefling stood there in shock for a few moments, before quickly stepping towards the pyramid, not before he has his bow put back and his halberd in his hand though*

*hearing another's voice she tune to look in the direction seeing something run forward armed with a halbred she screams as she is startled and back peddles to the pillar she was hiding behind.with a wide look of surprise*

*Armed with a halberd, a dragonhide and chain armor donned, and otherwise a small load of things in his backpack, it would be quite a hard thing for him to stop, startled by the sudden scream, specially since he saw noone where that scream came from, and considering the law of inertia, when his legs stopped moving, the rest did not, and was still moving towards the portal, head first* "SHIT!" was all the Tiefling muttered as he hit the ground, rolling for a moment and trying to reassemble the coordination of his arms and legs,so he could stand up again without entangling himself in his cloak and find out what in the nine hells just screamed in the hall, by that, leaning partially on the pyramid as he stands up, his helmet still rolling a few metres from him, and his cloak so scrambled that his wings are easily visible*

Drurazhor glares at the tiefling with almost pity, then goes in the direction the two men were before, standing where they vanished, he looks around, then looks back at the pyramid.

*Looking about the hall, still leaning on the pyramid the Tieflings eyes wander to the cat that was Drurazor. furrowing his brows*
"Noise, many people, sudden moves and someone of abyssal blood...how are those cats not startled yet...either trained...or...wait a minute...didn't I meet some skinchanger at the inn?"
*Slowly gripping his halberd harder he stares at the cat, growling somewhat deep but loudly, his tounge flicking one or two times*
"Ye can end yer bloody masquerade, I ain't that stupid, ye can't be a simple Cat, and ye other neither, git goin' at least show yer faces! Ye saw mine anyway! "
*Setting himself in a defensive stance with his halberd, knees slightly bent, showing his teeth and the eyes that are like black pearls, that glare between Dru and Grace, flicking to one side and the other just like his tail and as his tail flicks about, one time it touches the pyramid and suddenly, the Tiefling tenses up, clenching his teeth before he simply rams his feet on the floor, jumping back and directly into the pyramid* "Ye bloody 'unters ain't gettin me alive!"

The tiefling his the pyramid, and disappears in a similar flash of light

*Mialee watching the tierfling vanish like the other two guys she begins to look around temple before stepping out from behind the pillar*strange.

[...That was unexpected.]

Grace hadn't been doing much doing the chaos. She'd found things often unraveled themselves given space.

So.

The two men had vanished- likely by their own magicks.

The tiefling thought them some kind of hunter and... escaped through the pyramid.

Mialee found tieflings running at her with halberds terrifying. Understandable.


[Surprisingly, I still don't have any more idea of what's going on then I did before. We could try and trace the vanishing men, the stolen gem, or wonder where that pyramid leads to. I'm not sure about testing it ourselves- if it was easy enough to come back from wherever it leads, I sure it wouldn't need a ritual to summon the denizens of the abyss, or hell, or which ever fiendish place it likely connects to. I'm sure the tiefling will make friends, if he doesn't already have any that side]

Grace finally unshifts, and casts true sight on herself, nodding in the direction of Mialee.

"Quite an interesting situation we've got here."
