Windows 10
I upgraded to this and so far so good. I did not have to adjust my NWN settings.

Do you mean at all?
Not even one single thing,
From install to launch?

Yep. I loaded form an external drive not a fresh disk install. I had taken it off my win 7 computer.

Re: Windows 10
Since the upgrade is only free for a year I decided to roll back to 8.1 easily while i can. If i really want 10 later I do not mind paying.
8.1 has not given me problems so far.

Re: Windows 10
wasn't having an issue with windows 10 and nwn until recently.... it was letting me run nwn fine for a long while but now it's suddenly acting up... tried to reinstall the game from GOG but the same thing keeps happening x.x; game runs for a little while but then it keeps constantly crashing after like a few seconds every time... the movies don't seem to crash it but getting to the menu it then crashes after a few seconds... if I rush I can get to a module loading or even the server list but then it still crashes... tried installing that older direct x 9.0 thing and uninstalled the newer ones to get around an error but it still seems to have the same issue x.x; can't really think of anything since it's been working fine for the last few months even...

Friend Heather,
When installing NWN on any windows OS more recent than XP, always:
INSTALL AS ADMINISTRATOR
then right click the icon for launch of NWN and select PROPERTIES - set it to RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR, and RUN IN COMPATIBILITY MODE FOR XP SP3
Try these if you have not done so, and let me know if these methods do not improve your experience. I'll try to help if possible (tho I'm not running win10).

Re: Windows 10

Re: Windows 10
So you have it working? One other thing to check is if it is set at 32 bit or 64 bit. NWN from day one automatically defaults to 64.
If you can get the game panel up, go to configurations and make sure it is set to 32 bit.

You should be able to. When you have the starting screen up with the picture of the Valsharess on it, click the configuration tab.
The game needs to run on the 32 bit regardless if you have the 64.

Re: Windows 10
oh the graphics part? I have it switched to compatibility mode and it wouldn't take either... was looking at another computer that's still working and noticed there was something weird with the swirling background, it's like jumping after a certain point and I think that's about the same time the game will crash on the windows 10 computer....

Yes if video card two options. One update video card drivers or if they have been, roll back to previous version.
Also make sure your firewall and virus protections allow for NWN to come through.
