Possible new races?

So yeah, I just had a moment of excitement, thinking of how cool it would be to RP an undead, like a skeleton.
This may just be that the month of spook is upon us, but I'd like to know if it would be possible to have various undead as playable races?

Could get infected by vampires ... hahaha ...

Play a zombie. Complete with falling apart, hahaha!

It can be done. There are, of course, pros and cons of being undead (particularly for RP). D&D undead are summed up in these links (for our mutual consideration).

Note that some undead are mindless sorts, so may be a little, shall we say, challenging to play.

Even though I made a joke about it, I think Hel was saying more like.. a lighthearted "fun" type of characters, for the Halloween/harvest time celebrations done all over.

I myself, i don't have much desire to play an undead ... the fun ones, would be "mindless" , lol.

Being infected, unwillingly by a in game vamp, just something to... deal with/cope.
The rest .. I don't know, Lich ... maybe, like some epic level goal for immortality ... the rest, I have a hard time , imagining motives for. I mean, what goal would a .. wraith have? Kill all living things?
Whights or Ghouls... digging up bones in graveyards? lol ...

just having a hard time seeing it myself.

Now if just allowed to clown around, as a rattling pair of skeletons for a bit, maybe interesting ... not sure about long term of such though.

I do actually have a PC that desires "immortality", and chooses to apprach it with necromancy.
Giving him the option to actually BECOME, say, a Lich, would be neat.

It will be a couple weeks yet as we are busy with preparing for updates, but soon, very soon.

Alas recent discovery is that the subrace system was damaged either in the conversion to EE or some time later... Not sure which...
Hopefully the next update should fix this
