Can't leave starting area

Sorry for my long absence. Decided to try and pop on today to play, only to find the dwarf (Hamish?) is missing and the Portal doesn't recognise spoken words (Does matter what you say it says it doesn't recognise "" implying it simply isn't picking up on last spoken. Seems a few very important scripts have broken in an update if these two aren't popping up, but I can't figure out a link.
Unless such things were removed for some reason, in which case how does one leave the entry area?

looks like the server needs a reload/restart badly, sorry no one has answered you recently! hopefully we'll get a restart soon

I have the same issue today ...

I found only one way to leave starting area - suicide of character (carrot of dead)
It allow to leave start area and after ask demon to transfer you somewhere. Sure it is very costly, but ...

PS: Also, portal refer to book of many places, but no such book in start area.

The 'first area' (an OOC space containing some seating, some signs and some stuff for CLERIC class PCs) has a door you exit, the only door in the place, it takes you to the 'second area'. The 'second area' is also an OOC space, and divided into several rooms. The first room includes a NPC named "Haggis McSnarfer", talk to that NPC, he recognizes PCs and helps insert your PC into the game world.

Other rooms in this 'second area' are for customizing and buying gear, as well as rooms for parties to gather with their DM before an adventure begins, but for most players, Haggis is the central attraction here.

I hope this helps answer your questions/solves your dilemma. Post me on your progress please.

Sorry, but I did not find such an NPC. I prepared screenshots of all the rooms in this place, but forum don't accepted extermal links.

PS: It looks like this NPC is not spawned properly...

That is most odd. I'll try to restart the system perhaps tonight. It has been running untouched for some weeks and NWN sometimes (rarely)_sees this sort of effect.

I see by your other post that you managed to get to the tutorial area?

A veterinary appointment kept me from joining you today. I will attempt to join you tomorrow at the noted time. My apologies for the chaos today, it was impossible to know what time the cat would get out of surgery (the cat is healthy, she was just in for that essential procedure to prevent her from ever having kittens herself).

Haggis being missing again (so soon after a restart) seems most unusual. I'll login tonight to discover what I can about the error. Thank you for alerting me on the matter.

Yesterday, after rebooting the server, the initial location worked as expected or very similar. As minimum, I did not find issues.
