Tutorial area: Fishing

Fishing is not possible...

As soon as you try to use fishing rod, you have message "You are too far away for your line to breach the water surface" even if you stay near the water.
I have tested few places but not luck, everywhere is the same.

Many thanks for that bug report. I'll try to login tomorrow to test it again (see if I can reproduce the error, and possibly restart the server).

I'm curious too if fishing is working in non-tutorial areas. Have you tried in other areas perhaps?

I had to get some old gear out of storage and tinker with it, but I did manage to login to the server and restart the NWN software, the server should be operating normally now. My apologies for the chaos, it had not been rebooted in several months.

PS: Is it OK that the cost of death is not one, but two runes?

As soon as server was restarted I found missed NPC in start area and a lot of new and very interesting things in area for new players.

Unfortunately, I was killed there once. So, my question is how many soul runes do I have to pay for dead. I paid two. It means, after 3 incidents my character meet perma-dead. I was sure I have twice more

No issue, but I think, it is not related to server reboot. I found it earlier. Because I was warned, I calculate my runes careful.

My time zone is EEST(UTC+3), I play not very much between 20:00 and 22:00. So, I'm not sure it is comfortable time for you.

Just for info. My character was killed in area for new players. I lost first rune on depart (leaving demon) and second when I arrived.

Another detail. My character was killed when he looting an already killed undead ... But it was killed not by myself.

Hm, it is strange, this undead was looked as killed, but, according to log it was not. My character is Pavlo Briams
In log below you can see two runes to pay... First time my character is killed by Lich and second one ... hm ... It is strange.
Second time my character was killed by ... Emissary of Good... Oh, it is surprise... But in any case two runes for one real kill

Yesterday, after rebooting the server, the place for new players worked well. I did not check fishing, because there were many things to do, even without fishing. Of course, participating in a battle of such a strong undead was quite dangerous, but it is enough safe if you do not stay very close. Unfortunately, standard weapons are not applicable in this battle. It is useless to participate, but it can be interesting for those who want to take a little risk and dance with death. Also, it is way to receive some loot.

I am glad you found the server behaving better.

My apologies for the death - the lich and his monster friends are there to remind players that not all battles are yours, some you must flee (the NPCs present usually defeat the lich, then have some interesting conversations to offer the PC). In our game world (unlike many) you do not have to kill what you spawn, monsters despawn after left alone for a time so as not to waste system resources.
