All of the shops which allow you to pick merchandise out of cases or shelves are broken.

Almost all of them have no inventories. Nicks, Wales, the guy in the same area as Wales that has the provisions shop, shak tolun's shop: all have no inventory (though nick has a few things). Also, none of them buy items anymore.

The problem is still existant. I'd love to buy some stuff, namely katanas but I'm having a rather hard time finding those in between all the empty Showcases.

We are at this time testing a system to automatically, at intervals (and with fancy and subtle controls) restock the shelves of new merchants. The system will allow for reduced amounts of goods to get onto the shelves if, for example, a war or banditry were to start impacting the flow of trade.

At this time we have the delivery animal making its' rounds, though it has a few snags currently, we are close to a release on that new facet of the merchant systems. Please be patient with us a few more days as we iron out the last of the wrinkles in the code. Soon, all the merchant shops will become much more automated and realistic.

I'd like to see a place to buy materials, preferably by a workshop, so that people -with- the skills can fashion something they can't find to buy. (That'll stimulate the player-player economy too)

A dealer in the exotic materials (Mithril, Adamantite, Silver, Platinum, Lead, Copper/Bronze, gems, etc) would be neat, though his prices would need to be appropriate and the supply random and limited.
