Bard Songs Empty Bard Songs

So, my suggestion... Let bards be able to save their own custom songs! I've noticed when playing a bard, there are pre-scripted songs.. It would be really cool if we could have our own custom songs saved so we can play them just like the pre-scripted every now and then. If thats possible.

I just wanted to add to this a bit. I think bards should be able to use their curse and bard song without the instruement. Why? It's a bard __Song__. Also, I think both curse and bard song could be roleplayed as inspirational shouts, encouraging allies, teasing and distracting or discouraging enemies.

Yes in the bard traditions not all bards used instruments and they either spoke or just sang the words.

There is a NPC on the server for doing the record and editing of the songs storage...

I have no idea where it was though... will update this when I find the NPC...

The original idea was for each Bard guild to have their own song and story collection that they can add to.
The system is there, I just can't recall where we setup the bard area.

I used a lot of this bands song's for my bard. I particularly liked these two songs Razz

http://www.thebards.net/music/lyrics/The_Dragons_Retort.shtml

Sometimes I go through old favourites, like Scarborough Fair, and replace place names- Like have 'Hardibartha' (Scarborough fair= 4, Hardibartha=4) instead.
Maybe, if we get the option to save these songs to our char, we can also maybe pick when to play certain sounds? Like the flute sound, or the harp sound (Although NwN has bad 'musical' sounds XD)

On the note of sounds could the 'Doom' song by deekin be removed from the usual bard sounds? It's really distracting when your female bard starts cackling like a male kobold.

Friends,

I recently discovered this dead thread with an unanswered question: Where is the 'setup bard'? The bard that handles PLAYERS inputting of their own songs, poems, etc. is located in the City of Dohral on the second floor of the Elderwood Inn (South Egbort). The database of songs and stories can be added to by any bard PC/PLAYER.

Be well. Game ON!
