gamespy issues?

don't know if anyone else has been having trouble.... I haven't been able to really get onto the server because of some sort of error from the master server...

Yes. I have gotten that same error. I can not log on to Dohral but can to the two other pws I play.

Its not our PW only, I know Arelith has been having issues aswell, we can only pray. *shrugs*

The bioware Master Server is down. It is used to authenticate PLAYERS and DMs on login. While servers CAN opt to allow login without requiring the Master Server to authenticate users, this leaves PLAYERS VULNERABLE TO HAVING STRANGERS LOG IN IMPERSONATING PLAYER ACCOUNTS AND USING YOUR PCs. There are also some alternative 'verification' methods that some servers use but these require some overhead on the server (we're looking into it).

For now, we opt for NOT allowing hackers to take over your PCs - hence we require the Master Servers' authentication at this time.

Please be patient, I'm sure Bioware is doing what they can to update/repair the Master Server.

Haha, I bet thats not so much of a good idea. Okay, we send a nice lengthy formal letter explaining that they should, and there still is a NWN community, and we would please ask them to.

Hmm, it should. Since it runs off the gamespy master server aswell, but I could be wrong since I never play NWN2.

Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

still cant login, and this makes me sad... i just got my comp fixed and this is what i get greeted by. damn gamespy

Not sure whats up with Gamespy... won't even let me into ArgentumRegio... couple of my other severs now need pass words , and can't tell if any friends are on unless I log-in , But when I try to play here just gives me a checking player name window.. that never gos away.. so miss you guys , sorry I ain't been on in awhile , but if this clears up I still plan to play here .. Tanae ain't had a good romp in awhile

Hei, I am back.

I recently reinstalled the game and have been waiting to be able to log on same as everyone. But today I managed to log on
However I had to make a new character. Is this because I use a new copy of the game with a new serialcode? Or is there another reason?
I have been away so long I am not up to date on events...

But... I managed to log on today. Maybe the gamespy issues is resolved?

The server update last night got round the gamespy problem,

Hmm missing PCs sounds like you used a different CDKey/Player Name

Easy fixed though, when you login can get the new information and just move them across...

Okay, just as I thought everything was fixed and last night everything went great logging on to the server and all that.... But now when I try to get into the server, the first 2 times it said that server timed out, and now its saying I'm getting booted?
